Los Angeles FC (USA)

Los Angeles FC enters the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup as one of the more established MLS powerhouses, blending a history of league success with serious continental ambitions.

Founded as an expansion club just eight years ago in 2018, LAFC quickly distinguished itself in MLS with trophies in the form of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Supporters’ Shields and an MLS Cup title, as well as runs deep into past editions of the Champions Cup including final appearances in 2020 and 2023.

At the technical helm and his first year in the job, is Canadian Marc Dos Santos. While experienced within MLS, this is his most high profile position to date, and the pressure to deliver is on.

LAFC’s offense is spearheaded by Denis Bouanga, who’s blend of pace, skill, and clinical finishing makes him a constant threat in both MLS play and continental tournaments alike. Winner of the MLS Golden Boot in 2023, his partnership with Son Heung-min gives the black and gold one of the most explosive attacks in the tournament.

With the experience of France World Cup winner, Hugo Lloris minding the net, LAFC comes into this edition of the Champions Cup as a clear favorite if they can overcome a shortened pre-season.
