May 14 – With FIFA’s World Cup 2026 venue inspection team in full flow in terms of briefing, meeting and assessing potential city hosts, Baltimore on the East coast is one of 17 city hopefuls jostling for a final 10 host slot.
March 10 – Houston is the latest of the US cities presenting its host credentials for the 2026 World Cup to FIFA bid scrutineers.
March 5 – Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying schedules may be in disarray around the world, but FIFA has already moved on to the next stage of host city selection for its expanded 48-team 2026 World Cup.
January 27 – FIFA plans to appoint host cities for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico by the last quarter of this year.
July 1 – The World Cup waits for no-one. As Qatar rolls out its 2022 stadia, the North Americans are starting the next stage of venue selection for 2026 with a virtual workshop for candidate host cities in the US.
